Brown Brothers Patricia once again showed both its class and the quality that the upper reaches of the King Valley can produce when it comes to sparkling wine. The same could be said of the House of Arras and Tasmania, though here it should also be noted that the House of Arras is right near the top of this category every year. Chandon’s performance this year across a number of releases suggests that the sparkling wines of this pivotal producer are as good as, or indeed better than, they’ve ever been. The other take-home from this category, when you scan the list of the best performers, is just how deep Tasmania bats.
