The 2023 vintage in Tasmania saw a cool, wet spring but without the intense rainfall of the mainland. La Niña impacted significantly, with cool and wet conditions in summer delayed flowering and poor fruit-set, the ultimate yields low to very low. Poor yields to one side, the overall quality was very good to high, the standouts riesling, chardonnay and pinot noir (the latter two for both table wines and sparkling).
