Chalkers Crossing

Chalkers Crossing's Rockleigh Vineyard was planted in 1996-97, and is supplemented by purchased grapes from Tumbarumba. Winemaker Celine Rousseau was born in France's Loire Valley, trained in Bordeaux and has worked in Bordeaux, Champagne, Languedoc, Margaret River and the Perth Hills. This Flying Winemaker (now an Australian citizen) has exceptional skills and dedication. In 2012 she was appointed general manager as well as winemaker. In '16 her '14 Shiraz won multiple trophies at a number of shows. Exports to the UK, Canada, Denmark, Sweden, Thailand, Hong Kong and China. -JAMES HALLIDAY
