Our Review
Carrick was established in Bannockburn in '94 by Steve Green and Barbara Robertson-Green and released its first wine with the '00 vintage. Over the coming years it built a formidable reputation for its wines, changing to organic practices in '08 and ushering in an exciting new phase when Tony and Alison Cleland purchased the property in '21. Rosie Menzies is charged with making the wines from the stunning property that lies on a peninsula between Bannockburn Inlet and the Kawarau River, and the poor alluvial glacial soils make for wonderfully structured and energetic wines that speak clearly of their Central Otago roots. -DAVE BROOKES
