Our Review
Based in Ballandean in Queensland’s Granite Belt, rokkwell is a fledgling producer, with winemaker Dawn Walker having spent time under the guidance of Ridgemill Estate’s esteemed winemaker Peter McGlashan. She moved to the region in '19 as part of her vocational pursuit, studying a bachelor of wine science through the University of Southern Queensland. Since '21, Dawn and family have focused on the home estate and vineyards, with varieties including chardonnay, nebbiolo and sauvignon blanc alongside newer plantings of nero d’Avola and arneis. -MIKE BENNIE
