Belgium-born winemaker Koen Janssens is the svengali behind Bink Wines. He is also one half of the winemaking pair behind the Yetii and the Kokonut wine (he’s the Kokonut). Koen started life in hospitality working as a sommelier for Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe and Quay in Sydney before working with Jauma wines, Lucy Margaux and Spinifex, starting Bink in 2017. The wines are a hands-off affair, with an emphasis on fruit purity and sapid drive. From the complex, golden-hued riesling to the detailed and delicious syrah, these are wines of character and an inherent drinkability that will win many a heart of those who seek vins de soif styles.
