Hemera Estate

South Australia | Barossa Valley

Our Review

Hemera Estate was originally founded by Darius and Pauline Ross in 1999 as Ross Estate Wines. The name change came about in '12 after the business was sold to Winston Wine. This purchase also saw renewed investment in the winery, vineyard and tasting room, and a focus on consistently producing high-quality wines. Running very much on an estate basis, the winery and tasting room are located on the 22ha vineyard in the southern Barossa Valley; it’s primarily planted to shiraz, followed by cabernet sauvignon and 1912 planted grenache, with smaller plantings of cabernet franc, mataro and tempranillo. Exports to Japan, Thailand and Singapore. -JAMES HALLIDAY
