Our Review
Loan Wines is located along Tanunda Creek in one of the first settled areas in the Barossa Valley, the original cottage and cellars, built in 1842, now used to age the Loan wines. Richard and Jessica Loan have 3.5ha of shiraz, 3.2ha of alicante bouchet and 1.5ha of semillon, all in a Certified Organic vineyard. The dry-grown vines were mainly planted in 1992 and '93, with the Front Block of shiraz planted in '96. Exports to the US, Canada and Denmark. -JAMES HALLIDAY
