Our Review
Fourth-generation farmers Mark and Skye Bollen purchased 5ha of ’98-planted shiraz in the Clare Valley in ’14. It’s now dry-grown and organically managed, while 0.5ha each of nero d’Avola, sangiovese, mataro, grenache and malbec have also been added. A flock of Black Suffolk sheep roam the vineyard during winter to provide natural weed control and fertilise the soil. -JAMES HALLIDAY
