Our Review
Grapegrower, viticultural consultant and vigneron, Doug Balnaves, and wife Annette, started in the wine industry in the early ’70s. In ’90 they were joined by daughter Kirsty and son Pete in what remains a family-run business. Jacinta Jenkins assumed the mantle of winemaker following Pete Bissell’s retirement in ’20 – who remains on a casual consulting basis. The wines are invariably excellent, often outstanding. Coonawarra at its best. -JAMES HALLIDAY
