Our Review
Since the Brown Family Wine Group (then Brown Brothers) acquired Tamar Ridge and its sister brands of Pirie and Devil’s Corner in ’10, it has tactically honed each of the 3 labels to increasingly play to its strengths. For Tamar Ridge, this means a strategic focus on pinot noir, sourced from its magnificent and substantial Kayena Vineyard, tucked into a fold of the Tamar River in the north of the Tamar Valley. Single Vineyard and experimental Research Series pinot noirs are exciting indicators of the direction of evolution of the brand under talented winemaker Tom Wallace. -TYSON STELZER
