Our Review
Greg Melick is a busy bloke – senior counsel, wine show judge and 52 years in the Australian Defence Force, part of which was served as Major General, but lucky for us, he managed to establish Pressing Matters in '06, just outside the beautiful township of Richmond in the Coal River Valley. Pressing Matters' 7ha of vineyards are an equal split between riesling and pinot noir and the acquisition of the Morningside vineyard in ’19 has expanded the range. These days, rockstar Tassie winemaker Samantha Connew is onboard and the wines, already some of the most highly awarded in Tasmania, continue to go from strength to strength. Their new cellar door opened late '23. -DAVE BROOKES
