Our Review
Former long-serving Best's winemaker Simon Clayfield and wife Kaye are now doing their own thing. They have 2ha of shiraz planted in 1997, and 0.2ha of riesling was planted in late '19. Additional grapes are purchased from local growers and, when the quality is appropriate, incorporated in the Grampians Shiraz. Production is modest, but the quality is high. -JAMES HALLIDAY
