Our Review
The Wanted Man vineyard was planted in 1996 and was managed by Andrew Clarke, producing Jinks Creek’s Heathcote Shiraz. That wine was sufficiently impressive to lead Andrew and partner Peter Bartholomew (a Melbourne restaurateur) to purchase the vineyard in 2006 and give it its own identity. The vineyard, now managed by Callan Randall, is planted to shiraz (4ha), marsanne, viognier, grenache, roussanne and mourvèdre. The quirky Ned Kelly label is the work of Mark Knight, cartoonist for the Herald Sun. Exports to the UK. -JAMES HALLIDAY
