Our Review
Kyneton Ridge is the dedicated project of Andrew and Angela Wood, who bought the property in '19. This is their first foray into wine, although their winemaker son, Patrick, is very much hands-on. Originally established by John Boucher and partner Pauline Russell in '97, the Woods have subsequently added nebbiolo, riesling, more chardonnay plus cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc, covering about 5.5ha, while still sourcing shiraz from Heathcote. Time, energy and money were spent on renovating the winery and cellar door, with a cafe and arts space opening in ’21. The winery has been at full production since the ’22 vintage. -JANE FAULKNER
