Our Review
Tarrangower Estate is on the northeastern edge of Malmsbury, at the western end of the Macedon Ranges. At an altitude of 470m, it is one of the warmest sites in the region, and is planted to chardonnay, shiraz, cabernet sauvignon and merlot. Tom Gyorffy is a Melbourne lawyer, but as a mature-age student he graduated with an associate degree in applied science (wine growing) from CSU in 1997. His philosophy is to make ‘natural wines' and to deliberately oxidise the chardonnay (hyper-oxidation). -JAMES HALLIDAY
