Michael Telera learnt his trade from nine vintages at Dr George Mihaly’s Paradigm Hill winery at Merricks. He makes pinot noir and sauvignon blanc from a small leased vineyard at Red Hill, and shiraz sourced from other growers on the Peninsula. He plans to plant more pinot noir at the leased property, making the total 20 rows of pinot noir and nine rows of sauvignon blanc; production is increased with small amounts of contract-grown fruit. -JAMES HALLIDAY
