Our Review
Remy Cointreau established Blue Pyrenees Estate (then known as Château Remy) in '63, growing ugni blanc for brandy. Forty years later, the business was sold to a small group of Sydney businessmen. The core of the business is the very large estate plantings of shiraz and cabernet, most decades old, but with newer arrivals, including viognier. In '19, Blue Pyrenees Estate was purchased by Glenlofty Wines, forming the largest producer in the Pyrenees. -JAMES HALLIDAY
