Quoin Hill Vineyard

The Coleman family, headed by Steve and Trish, purchased 10ha of volcanic soil at an elevation of 520m on what is the southernmost extension of the Pyrenees region. They have a little over 3ha of shiraz, chardonnay, pinot gris, tempranillo and pinot noir, the first vintage following in 2001. A chaff mill and stables built 100 years ago have now been renovated and transformed into the winery and tasting rooms. The wines so far made have had consistent show success. -JAMES HALLIDAY
