Burton McMahon

Burton McMahon is a collaboration between Matt Burton from Gundog Estate in the Hunter Valley and Seville Estate winemaker Dylan McMahon (see separate entries for both). With a shared love of chardonnay and pinot noir, the 2 friends began looking for suitable single vineyard sites to purchase fruit from in the late 2000s, making their first wines in ’10. While the earlier wines came from both Gippsland and the Yarra Valley, recent releases have focussed on single-vineyard chardonnay and pinot from the Upper Yarra. Made at Seville Estate, the wines are finely detailed, elegant and well priced.
