Our Review
Houghton’s reputation was once largely dependent on its (then) White Burgundy. Its portfolio now changed to a kaleidoscopic range of high-quality wines from the Margaret River, Frankland River, Great Southern and Pemberton regions to the fore. In Nov ‘19 the Houghton property was sold to the Yukich family, who had acquired part of the property in ‘90 and established Oakover Wines. The reunited vineyard relaunched as Nikola Estate (see separate entry), in honour of Nikola Yukich, who emigrated from Croatia and planted vines in the Swan Valley over 90 years ago. The Houghton brand was retained by Accolade. -JAMES HALLIDAY

Cellar Door
Information
Our sister winery, Brookland Valley, has partnered with us to bring you a combined cellar door experience, where you can discover some of the best WA wines. The cellar door overlooks Wilyabrup Brook, a breathtaking focal point of the vineyard. The brook ambles its way through the Brookland Valley property, giving life to vines alongside native flora and fauna.
